 Announcing

the Marine Corps Artillery Community Awards Program

The Marine artillery community, in partnership with the United States Field Artillery Association (USFAA) and Sculptor Joe Winslow, have established the Marine Corps Artillery Community Awards Program (MCACAP) to formally recognize excellence among its Commissioned Officers, Staff Noncommissioned Officers, and Company Grade Officers.

For decades, Marine artillery has played a decisive role in Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) operations—integrating fires, enabling maneuver, and employing technically complex, high-risk weapons systems. Despite these critical contributions, no enduring, artillery-specific program existed to annually recognize the community's top performers. MCACAP fills this gap, providing a lasting mechanism to highlight those Marines who best exemplify the highest standards of the profession.

Cast in bronze and infused with M777 cannon-tube steel, each award will be hand carved, cast and finished entirely in the US by the sculptor's team.  Featuring a bright bronze finish with a heat applied patina to the highlight meticulous detail, this composition will be mounted on a polished, glossy wood base crafted from cedar trees which once graced the former Artillery Training School at Camp Pulgas.

Please enjoy these rendered mockups of the finished sculpture below.
